The occasion for the exhibition was the unique opportunity to acquire original prints by Atget from the Abbott-Levy Collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York. With impressive black and white shots of park landscapes, wooded areas and flower still lifes, photographs from the realm of nature are shown, a subject to which Atget as well as Friedlander devoted themselves in their late work.
