The Musée de la Photographie in Charleroi is currently presenting Histoires en séries, an exhibition drawn from the renowned photography collection of the A Foundation, assembled by Astrid Ullens de Schooten Whettnall.


Over the past three decades, Ullens de Schooten Whettnall has brought together a remarkable archive of more than 6,000 works by approximately 100 photographers from across the globe. The collection spans a broad range of themes—including social documentary, architectural studies, and intimate life narratives—reflecting a deep engagement with both historical and contemporary practices.


Artists represented in the exhibition include Diane Arbus, Mitch Epstein, Walker Evans, Lee Friedlander, Peter Downsbrough, Helen Levitt, Nicholas Nixon, Ed Ruscha, Larry Sultan, among others.
