Tarrah Krajnak

named recipient of the Henry Cartier-Bresson Creation Award 2025

Zander Galerie is delighted to announce that Tarrah Krajnak is the recipient of the prestigious Henri Cartier-Bresson Creation Award 2025, presented by the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson with the support of the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès.

Awarded every two years, the award recognizes a strong, documentary-inspired practice of an established photographer. It supports the realization of an ambitious new project to be premiered in 2027 at the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson.

Born in Lima, Peru in 1979, Tarrah Krajnak works across photography, performance, and poetry. Her practice investigates the intersections of personal and collective histories, exploring how identity, memory, and trauma are embedded within photographic and archival processes.
Krajnak lives and works in Los Angeles. She is a 2025/2026 Fellow at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin.
